Our history
A founder who redrew the map of Hungarian retail and of Budapest.
DEVO Group is a family business spanning generations. Gránit Pólus Group, the predecessor to our company, was founded by Sándor Demján, whose entrepreneurial legacy continues to shape our thinking and values.
Sándor Demján (1943–2018) was a leading figure in Hungarian business. His name is associated with many iconic developments in Hungary and abroad that remain significant today. His entrepreneurial outlook played a significant role in the development of Hungary's economy, while also making a lasting contribution to Budapest's cityscape.
Alongside his business achievements, he gave particular attention to creating value for the community and supporting talent. Through the Prima Primissima Award and the Sándor Demján Foundation, he left a legacy that reaches far beyond business.
The initiative, sense of responsibility and belief in the future that he championed continue to guide us today.
